Author Guidelines

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

1. General Information

Authors should submit original research manuscripts that have not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal. Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English and prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

2. Manuscript Formatting

The manuscript should follow the formatting requirements below:

3. Manuscript Length

• Original Research Article: 4,000–7,000 words

• Abstract: 200–250 words

• Keywords: 3–5 keywords

• References: Minimum 20 references, with at least 80% from peer-reviewed journals published within the last 5 years.

4. Manuscript Organization

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

Title

• Maximum 20 words.

• Written in Bold, Title Case, 16 pt, centered.

• Avoid abbreviations whenever possible.

Example:

The Relationship Between Dietary Adherence and Quality of Life Among Patients with Congestive Heart Failure

Write below the title:

• Full name (without academic titles)

• Affiliation

• City, Country

• Corresponding author's email

Use:

• Times New Roman

• 11 pt

• Center alignment

Abstract

The abstract should contain:

• Background

• Objective

• Methods

• Results

• Conclusion

Requirements:

• One paragraph

• 200–250 words

• Times New Roman 11 pt

• Single spacing

• No citations

• No abbreviations unless commonly recognized

Keywords

• Three to five keywords

• Arrange alphabetically

• Separate using semicolons (;)

Introduction

The Introduction should explain:

• Background

• Research problem

• Current evidence

• Research gap

• Importance of the study

• Study objective

Formatting:

• Times New Roman

• 12 pt

• 1.5 spacing

• Approximately 800–1,500 words

Methods

Describe clearly:

• Research design

• Setting

• Population

• Sample

• Sampling technique

• Inclusion and exclusion criteria

• Variables

• Instruments

• Validity and reliability

• Data collection

• Statistical analysis

• Ethical approval

Formatting:

• Times New Roman 12 pt

• 1.5 spacing

Present findings objectively.

Include:

• Participant characteristics

• Descriptive analysis

• Inferential analysis

• Tables

• Figures

Do not discuss the findings in this section.

Discussion

Explain:

• Interpretation of findings

• Comparison with previous studies

• Clinical implications

• Practical implications

• Strengths and limitations

Avoid repeating numerical results already presented in the Results section.

Conclusion

Summarize the main findings.

Provide:

• Main conclusion

• Implications

• Recommendations for future studies

Maximum 300 words.

Acknowledgements (Optional)

Mention individuals or institutions contributing to the study but not qualifying for authorship.

Funding Statement

State the funding source.

Example:

"This research received no specific grant from any funding agency."

Conflict of Interest

Example:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

Author Contributions

Describe each author's contribution using the CRediT taxonomy if applicable.

Example:

Conceptualization, Methodology, Investigation, Writing – Original Draft, Writing – Review & Editing.

References

Use the Vancouver Citation Style.

Requirements:

• Minimum 20 references

• At least 80% journal articles

• Preferably published within the last five years

• Include DOI whenever available

• Use reference management software (EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero)

5. Tables

• Number consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, etc.)

• Title above the table

• Times New Roman 10–11 pt

• Single spacing

• Editable format (not images)

• Use horizontal lines only

• Cite every table in the text

6. Figures

• Number consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.)

• Caption below the figure

• Minimum resolution 300 dpi

• JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or editable format

• Cite every figure in the text

7. Statistical Reporting

Authors should report:

• Statistical test used

• Test statistic

• p-value

• Confidence interval (if applicable)

• Effect size (if appropriate)

Example:

Chi-square analysis demonstrated a significant association between dietary adherence and quality of life (χ² = 12.65, p = 0.001).

8. Ethical Considerations

Studies involving humans must include:

• Ethics committee name

• Approval number

• Informed consent statement

• Confidentiality statement

9. Submission Checklist

Before submission, ensure that:

□ Manuscript follows the journal template.

□ Title page is complete.

□ Abstract contains 200–250 words.

□ Keywords consist of 3–5 terms.

□ References follow Vancouver style.

□ Tables and figures are numbered correctly.

□ DOI has been included whenever available.

□ Similarity index complies with journal policy.

□ Grammar and English language have been professionally checked.

□ Ethical approval has been obtained.

□ Conflict of interest statement has been included.
